Good to hear from you,I've had a busy morning, its cooler today with a hazy
sun peeping through the clouds , I've been counting Buzzards for a survey
thats been going on in the UK. (Buzzards here in the UK are a sort of
Mini-eagle as oppossed to the US Buzzard which we regaurd as a Vulture) Our
Buzzards over the past 10 years or so have spread damatically. Once was only
the high mountains and moorland, now they are nesting in my city centre! and
down onto the cliffs by the seaside. Persecution from Game keepers still
persist, I've already had 3 dead Buzzards found poisoned,and I am expecting
to find more as the spring enfolds. My Golden Eagle sites are OK, this year
I'm hoping to get a good number of young away,the weather in the mountains
has not been that severe this winter so as long as people keep clear ,
things are looking promising.
I'm going up the coast today to check out a couple of sites.
I've a TS meeting tonight, but I will be back on line later in the Evening
to the wee small hours
