Anand,here in my place it is the same with dogs and cats.
But I have my cat everywhere in the house and the garden.
Sometimes I take her to the forest, but she is not happy with it, so 
I let her home.
But tigers and lions or cheetahs and other wilds it should be quite 
different and I am glad we have not in my country, then only in the 
zoo.
