Hi Cass,

Thanks for defending my Company's film project. Actually, there's no need.
I might have actually been pulling all your legs.

The reason the Blavatsky film project (either planned by me or anyone else)
has never gotten off the ground is that the only one who would ever finance it,
even in its early stages of preproduction (I know after that's done right, we
could easily get money from a production/distribution company like
DreamWorks, perhaps, who wouldn't mess with the idea) -- would be a very wealthy
theosophist who would give us a free hand to package it for presentation exactly the
way the script projected it.

Actually, I was just shooting in the dark -- since I don't expect anyone on
this forum to be or know such a wealthy theosophist. :-) Besides, what I was
really poking for, since someone had already brought up the idea of such a
film, was a decent story line and script by an excellent screenwriter who is also
a theosophist (and would partner with us). But, even that would be hard to
come by through this forum. In fact, that's why the idea has been kicking
around for so long. The last time I talked about it with Gene Roddenberry, he
said, "Forgeddaboudit! ... All the good theosophically minded screenwriters are
working full time for me and George (Lucas) and they have no time to work on
spec... Besides, they're all members of the Writers Guild, that won't let them
do it even if they wanted to." (And, that's why we need the rich theosophist
to pay for a writer along with all the other preproduction costs.) Although. I
still have hope that if the picture is destined to be made, the right people
will show up to do it. (My advice and expertise, of course, is always free,
and my company earnings are all assigned to a non profit foundation.)

Our other picture idea with a theosophical background, "The Solarworld
Chronicles" -- that's a sci-fi epic broken into a series of films telling the story
of the next hundred years showing how we can get to a "Paradise on Earth" and
avoid the way it is being pushed into the pits now -- also had similar
problems (since, although it has all the story lines for up to seven films already
prepared, it has yet to get a decent screenplay)... And, has even bigger
problems, since it pokes hard at the politicalized money grubbing Dugpas currently
corrupting and running the world today, and since they have so much
unscrupulous power, it would take a very brave writer, indeed, to get involved -- even if
we could pay him/her to work under Writer's Guild rules. Another problem is
that this concept can't use the metaphorical method to expose political
corruption such as used in Star Wars, Dune, etc.... And has to tell it like it is
and point fingers at real people in a real world, and show where they are
leading us. Dangerous stuff, indeed, these days of "Newspeak" when Freedom
sometimes means the opposite of Liberty.

But, with all that, I still have hopes there are still some talented and
possibly wealthy theosophical heroes around who might crawl out of the woodwork
and give us a helping hand. :-)

So, whether or not any of these pictures ever gets produced is anyone's
guess, and must be left to the workings of karma. I have a suspicion that the
Masters are waiting for this crazy world to collapse either by its own weight or
by some sort of natural or self induced catastrophy before doing anything -- So
I'm content to just patiently watch and wait, and see what happens. Should be
a great show in itself. </:-)>

Best regards,

Leon

Dear Iain,
Leon is not asking for money but selling a product, its up to the public
whether they want to invest in it or not. I think it is best to keep "big
business" out of it as much as possible, as they demand their pound of flesh. By
floating a company on the stock market, purchasing stock in that movie, gives the
producers the artistic license they need to tell the story how they want to,
and if the investor believes in the product and it succeeds it will give them
dividends, if not, they are, at least investing their money in a project they
feel worthwhile.

Cass

It would be wrong to ask for money, thats for movie producers to do,
Government Grants, product endorsements have been arround since the film
industry was founded. There is nothing stopping donations, get comanies
involved like Yves Sant laurant Power tools, Exon Oil, they give a slick
performance!! Armani concrete products, If that fails try the mafia!!
