I recently read that "Telepathy obliterates language and forces a
species to be honest with itself. Without honest self knowledge;
there can be no telepathic transfers of information. Telepathic
transfers of information create changes in an individuals mind but
unless that individual has true and honest knowledge of self, this
all happens down a one way street."
If humans develop telepathic communication does it mean the end of
lying/saving face.
Wouldnt it be a wonderful place if we could read each others
thoughts, there would be no use for a persona then. I am not sure
about telepathic transfers as I am sure we would still be in
control of what comes in. No? <
Perspective on telepathy :
Telepathy has various stagies. That it forces a species to
be honest with itself is only initially true. The reading of
another's thoughts is quite different than the reading of
another's mind. The thoughts that are received have
left the mind of the sender. Billions of thoughts exist
within the atmosphere. One may read thoughts in the
atmosphere and not know where it originated from.
The reason it was stated that it is only initially true, that
it forces a species into honesty, is due to achieving another
level thinking in which one may have thought without it
being sent out. The ability to stay thoughts is developed
(generally speaking) after the ability to read thoughts.
As a rule of thumb, when one is first opened up to the
telepathic experience, it is difficult to "control what
comes in" or more optimally put, what is read.
Telepathy can be a complex field of understanding.
There is much involved in which would not be realized
until experience reveals it.
