Daniel,
Here is a further example of the objection I posted to you earlier.

Anand,
You are telling us that:
"Mr. Leadbeater was far more advanced and so he
corrected many of the mistakes made by earlier writers."
I assume you also include Master Koot Hoomi
among the "early writers" who made mistakes. And that
you believe Leadbeater corrected the mistakes of
Koot Hoomi....
Am I right or wrong in my assumptions?
Consider the following.
Koot Hoomi in his letters supports the view of
life after death which CONTRADICTS the one put
forth by Leadbeater.
You don't have to believe me on this.
Even a member of the Theosophical Society (Adyar)
has admitted in an Adyar TPH publication that there
are DIFFERENCES between the after death processes as
given in the letters of the Mahatamas and the process
as given later by Leadbeater. The late Helen V. Zahara observed:
"The original statements in the Theosophical Society regarding the
after death processes were given in Letters of the Mahatmas to A.P.
Sinnett. . . . One must, however, note that a different description
of the after death process appears in some works by theosophical
writers. One such exponent was C.W. Leadbeater, a notable
clairvoyant, who recorded what he saw of after death
conditions. . . . This [Leadbeater's version] would seem to be at
variance with the original teaching."
So Anand, who made the MISTAKES??? Koot Hoomi or Leadbeater?
Again in THE SECRET DOCTRINE, we find that H.P. Blavatsky and the
Master Koot Hoomi CORRECTED the "erroneous notion" promoted by
A.P. Sinnett that Mercury and Mars belong to the earth chain of
globes.
See: http://blavatskyarchives.com/moderntheosophy.htm#2
This is confirmed by the Master Koot Hoomi in his letter
to Colonel Olcott:
"Since 1885 I have not written, nor caused to be written save thro'
her [HPB's] agency, direct or remote, a letter or line to anybody in
Europe or America, nor communicated orally with, or thro' any third
party. Theosophists should learn it. You will understand later the
significance of this declaration so keep it in mind. Her [HPB's]
fidelity to our work being constant, and her sufferings having come
upon her thro' it, neither I nor either of my Brother associates
will desert or supplant her." Letters from the Masters of the
Wisdom, Series I, 1973, p. 45
Yet years later, Leadbeater promotes this "erroneous
notion" of Sinnett's.
So Anand, who made the MISTAKES??? Koot Hoomi or Leadbeater?
Furthermore, how do you know "Mr. Leadbeater was far more
advanced...."?
Concerning H.P.Blavatsky's special position in relation to the
Masters, the following quotes from letters of the Mahatmas K.H.
and M. indicate her unique status:
"[H.P.B. is] a woman of most exceptional and
wonderful endowments. Combined with them
she had strong personal defects, but just
as she was, there was no second to her living
fit for this work. We sent her to America
. . . . " The Mahatma Letters, 2nd edition,
Letter 45.
"... imperfect as may be our visible agent —
and often most unsatisfactory and imperfect
she is — yet she is the best available at
present. . . . " The Mahatma Letters, 2nd
edition, Letter 2.
"This state of hers is [H.P.B.'s] intimately
connected with her occult training in Tibet,
and due to her being sent out alone into the
world to gradually prepare the way for others.
After nearly a century of fruitless search, our
chiefs had to avail themselves of the only
opportunity to send out a European body. . . . "
The Mahatma Letters, 2nd edition, Letter 26.
". . . we employ agents — the best available. Of these for the
past thirty years the chief has been the personality known as H.P.B.
to the world (but otherwise to us). Imperfect and very troublesome,
no doubt, she proves to some, nevertheless, there is no likelihood
of our finding a better one for years to come — and your
theosophists should be made to understand it. Since 1885 I have not
written, nor caused to be written save thro' her agency, direct
and remote, a letter or line to anybody in Europe or America, nor
communicated orally with, or thro' any third party. Theosophists
should learn it. You will understand later the significance of this
declaration so keep it in mind. Her fidelity to our work being
constant, and her sufferings having come upon her thro' it,
neither I nor either of my Brother associates will desert or
supplant her. . . . This you must tell to all: — With occult
matters she has everything to do. . . . She is our direct
agent. . . . "
Letters from the Masters of Wisdom, Series 1, Letter 19.
Anand, notice what Master Koot Hoomi says about Madame
Blavatsky:
"With occult matters she has everything to do. . . . She is our
direct agent. . . . "
Yet you tell us that Mr. Leadbeater was far more advanced. How do
you know that?
Food for thought.
