Hi John,
But what does that mean to us as Theosophists?
I am being very skeptical perhaps if they also include biological detection devices they could also do a mineral detection device to see if under the crust are mountains of gold!
What would be biological detection device show us, that martians and we have the same biological make up?
I am not very scientific at all hence the further explanation required.
Ciao

Cass,
Thanks for the post and comments. The Viking finding back in the 1970's
was very controversial and like a lot of other scientists before him Levin had
to suffer the thrornes of rejection by his peers, but it seems fairly certain
he will finially have balm from the Rovers as they have continued to reveal
additional basis with present time findings. Not just the Rovers but the ESA Mars
experiments have also lent credence to the Past of a watery Mars that can
have had life at least as bacteria and that is a monumental benchmark in itself.
The great mystery to JPL and NASA is who is cleaning off the the solar arrays
on the Rovers, they have yet to explain an acceptable mechanism scientifically
for that, it wasn't the Blueberrys. One thing they need to do in a future
mission is incorporate biological detection experiment on the landers.
John
