Cass,
Thanks for your comments and reply. It was not a complete vacuum but the
Romans and then the Roman Catholic Church dominated much of the scenery for a
considerable time. the Dark Ages were really Dark. Even today we teach our
children basic math using the methods of the dark ages and then wonder why a Hindu
ssems regularily to win the Noble Prize in Mathematics. Google "Vedic
Mathematics" online and do some of the exorcises on their instruction pages, soon you
willl have cognitions about the efficiency between the two systems and how
available resources of the mind are used with both systems. One is tediously
laborious and the other is efficiency at it's best, freeing up and speeding up the
end result.
For much of that time we had the Bible only through Oral recitation, the
masses of people could not read and were at a great disadvantage for many
centuries, the vessels were not yet ready.
