Certainly the Melbourne Theosophical Society has an esoteric group. They are very guarded about who they let in on the sessions, but on the whole they are a nice bunch, and are willing to share there exoteric wisdom with others. They have worked and studied very hard for many years for the TS and because of this, I believe, feel admittance is only allowed when the criteria has been met. There was also fragmentation in the group, albeit subtle, and a small dose of spiritual arrogance was thrown into the group. I, for one, do not like, secret societies as I feel they breed spiritual and intellectual competitiveness, and for this reason, remained a working class member only. But, my days at the Melbourne TS were happy days and I enjoyed their chat and thoroughly enjoyed the folks of the inner sanctum.

Seems to me there's all kinds of
definitions out there for "inner group,"
so I guess there's some kind of "inner
group" for everybody.
