Re: Theos-World re: Bonsai, a quick question

Well now it is quite difficult for me to answer if the average visitor may think that what
is presented in the site is real or not. As I received an e-mail claiming the contents of
the site to be real and with almost 400 signatures, when I press the link and I saw the
images I thought to be truth.

But also it is necessary to consider that in Brazil I was member of the Animal Protection
Society having a close connection with the President of the Society a Lady that had an
advanced age at the time. Consequently I had access to a great deal of material about
vivisection and other kind of cruelty to animals. So I have seen unbelievable things made
with animals, the most crazy experiments and form of cruelty that even if you try you
cannot imagine.

So I really cannot answer you if the average visitor will believe to be truth or not,
but I can tell you that from 500 persons I send the e-mail half considered the site to
be real.

But the main point for me it is not if the average visitor will believe to be real or not
the practices presented in the site, but the site is disrespectful and a cruel satire.
If you wish you may visit this site about vivisection to see some photos.
I would say such images are quite light considering what I have seen in photos
so, I do believe that many persons involved in animal protection societies,at first
may believe the practices of the bonsai kitten to be real, but not the results.

(I assume you meant to say that the site SIMULATES violence toward
animals, which I agree, it simulates it. If you actually mean that the
web site STIMULATES people to do violence, I vehemently disagree. I
believe that the person created the original site as a SATIRE,
evolving the idea of Bonsai sculptured trees into the animal world.)

Do you believe that the average visitor to that website believes that
the violence actually happened?

That's my point.

I believe the average visitor knows it to be a hoax, even if it does
"appear" to simulate violence.

If the average visitor knows it to be a hoax, should it be censored?

If so, then I should worry that you might want to censor one of my
pages. The maze on that page is in the shape of a silhouette of a
woman sitting next to a swimming pool. Some visitors to my site might
think that the woman is not wearing a swimsuit. I believe it should
not matter. (You can't tell one way or the other).

Some people might think that the maze in question is simulated porn.
Should it be censored simply because SOME PEOPLE think that it might
be porn?

I believe that the average visitor to my site is smart enough to
realize that the woman might have been wearing a swimsuit before I
obliterated everything to put the maze there.

You can see the maze in question at:
www.Mazes.com/gif.files/shape.mazes/lady-maze-hard.gif
(I need to change the text, as the contest ceased to exist five years ago)

(Actually, the original image was ALREADY a silhouette)
