True, but this is par for the course in terms of Bhakti yog as a
path unto itself. It takes the focus off the outer self and one is
really seeking the inner true man. No truer words written by HPB
than the object of thy search is thyself.

The guru is merely the external reminder, or should be.

Not true. IT is in the books but actually the gurus discourage
discussion of same. It is a fact that they point out, which has now
been substantiated by physicists that light is derived from sound
and that sound does happen in outer space, where there is no medium
for it.

They are, but can something (the real thing) that is so rare really
be a distraction? Or is the distraction truly our running after
these things? Is that what she meant? Not the things or events of
sounds or seeing light but our attitude towards them?

The middle path is still relevant here.

I make no distinction, can't speak for anyone else.

I agree but see it slightly differently.

These are but tools of the spiritually aware. Would you separate the
psychic evidence in Jesus' work just because it is not spiritual as
you say?

It is something which is developed, but it is also part of the
Atlantean nature. Maybe you've been spared that!!
