Hello Pedro,

Although some may accuse you of sending this post to divert attention away from the really important theosophical issues like whether or not Leadbeater told a lie, I personally appreciate your attempts to refocus. My heart aches to read the truth you describe below. This world is filled with opportunities for us to theos-do something, but too often we (myself very much included) fall back upon theos-talktalktalk.

I do not have an answer. Erica's recent post expresses my heart-felt views.

I wonder what we would be capable of DOING if theosophy were the living force within us, to which we had surrendered completely, instead of a collection of words lying cold and dormant in our books?

To excuse our refusal to act or even to TRY with the notion, "suffering is their karmic due" is becoming less and less acceptable to me.

regards,

Bill

Unprecedented developments are taking place in the
world today, bringing suffering and death to millions
of people, animals and the planet.

Iraq, Darfur, the famine in African countries, the
Middle-East, the power of drug-barons in Colombia, Rio
and Sao Paulo, the trafficking of girls and women to
be exploited as sex-slaves in wealthy countries, for
example, are all part of the contemporary scenario?

Can Theosophy throw light on these tragedies and point
a way out?

Can theos-talk look at the world?

Pedro
