Anand, Certainly H.P. Blavatsky wrote: "But it is perhaps desirable to state unequivocally that the teachings, however fragmentary and incomplete, contained in these volumes. . . . " But the student should ALSO keep in mind the following statements by HPB in the SD: ". . . the SECRET DOCTRINE is not a treatise, or a series of vague theories, but contains all that can be given out to the world in this century." The Secret Doctrine, 1888, Vol I, p. xxxviii (original edition) .
If one studies the claims of contact with Masters of Wisdom and Compassion and finds that they do not resonate with one's own higher sense of wisdom and compassion then that would be a valid basis for dismissal in my opinion. However, I also think it a mistake to dismiss out of hand all claims of contact since Madam's time based solely on this and other similar statements by her. For instance, if we accept what she writes here as accurate, this quote clearly indicates that some more may be given in the intervening centuries before much more is given. And on the same page Madame Blavatsky writes: ". . . But it will take centuries before much more is given from it [the Secret Archaic Doctrine]. . . . "
