Theos-World Re: [Young Theosophists] what is missing from the overall Theosophical Society

If formal organization does not work at best level then there will be
many informal organizations which will spread teaching. So there will
be combination of formal TS and informal organizations. It is also
good because decentralized organization is more productive than tall
beurocratic order. Lodges will have to be in every city.
There is also other way of looking at the problem. Why do we have to
depend on old people in TS organization for doing Theosophical work
and spreading teaching. Now we know that people should get digital
books as they are cheaper for most people and there are many
advantages in that. But for digitization we should not depend on old
people in TS organization. We should consider it as our duty.
Sometimes I feel what right we have to blame old leadership which is
so busy doing routine administration. Isn't it our duty to take the
work of digitization and spread teaching ourself instead of expecting
old people to do it ? What is stopping young people from founding new
lodge and running it the way they think is right.
Dedication among young members comes from understanding Theosophy and
I don't think young members would understand Theosophy from abstruse
books like Isis and Secrete Doctrine. And overdependence on these
works, which is visible, will only keep things in miserable condition
as they are now.
