Do I detect a slight note of sarcasm? 



If so, to what ought it be directed?



If possible, give us a reference. To what do you speak to?



I think most know of time and cycles, but few still grasp the idea that this
applies to us all, it is immutable. 



Time we divide and use to measure vibration rates. 



"Duration" is pretty vague, yet it encompasses all aspects of both "time"
and "cycles." It is said to be endless - an aspect of the ABSOLUTENESS -
the eternal, un-analyzable "background." Like "SPACE" it is ever-present,
but illimitable and undefinable. 



The finite mind we use from day to day, usually finds this too indefinite to
consider, yet, there are Those who do consider it. They inspired and wrote
the SECRET DOCTRINE, ISIS UNVEILED and from their words and ideas, HPB
wrote, and to Them she gave continual credit. 



Most have heard of "Karma," but few feel that it applies to them and others
again, immutably. [The lower mind has ben usually trained to seek for an
"escape." And thinks it is unobserved and can "beat the odds, and pay for
its 'contrary' independence.]



Some have heard, but how many of us have grasped the idea that the ENTIRE
UNIVERSE (and our Earth and our selves also) are made up of living entities
free and independent, (called in Theosophy "MONADS") ?



What part do they play in Karma, and the motives we have for our choices?



Some have read the BHAGAVAD GITA and find that "Krishna" is a name given to
the Universe - to a grand spiritual INTELLIGENCE - a MIND that is truly
universal, and may for our understanding be called, or visualized, as a
being that overlooks the whole of manifestation - for an immensity of years
- but, IS NOT A GOD. 



The evolutionary panorama, that starts from a basis of immortal, but
innumerable, and uncountable, inexperienced living centers of Force (each a
Monad) enter a well defined sequence of evolutionary progressive classes of
experience. As all advance is the result of voluntary and independent
choices, the host or army of Monads soon stratifies. and forms itself into
"classes" or "levels" of achievement - with plenty of latitude for any Monad
to pass from one to any of the other levels according to its efforts. All
depends on the motive that underlies the choices it makes -- as it proceeds
through life and lives. 



Since they are themselves indestructible, eternal, they [that really is
"us"] may be considered "eternal pupils." They are automatically involved
in a School that leads eventually -- after many trials, successes and
failures, to that plateau of 'success' where they know all that the Universe
(vast, and filled with every kind of variety) can show - not only on the
physical level, but on psychological and mental and intuitional levels as
well. 



Te prospect is staggering, and it is said that we, in the present "human
stage," with "free-will" and the power to think, are only half way through
the great course of education. Our future depends on what we choose.



I think there is much to consider. 



Perhaps Theosophy may be one of the best pieces of information we have yet
encountered. But it will remain a riddle until we work at solving what if
offers, and go through the difficult task on un-learning certain false
impressions placed on us in our youth.

Come on guys!



A group of Theosophists acting as if they didn't KNOW that the law of
periodicity and cyclicity, (ebb & flow), was the natural order of things on
the physical plane. That is really amazing. 



I have been a member of this list for several years now, and I have seen
both cycles many times. Like karma, periodicity seems to be one of those
cosmic laws, beyond human control. There are no reasons, for the stuff that
just IS!
