Gregory, what you write I find much interesting and useful.
On the other hand many of the Adyar members in Germany believe CWL was the
greatest holy man.
The Adyar agent Dr Peter Michel has a German CWL biography out in which he
states that:
a) courts proofed the accusations against CWL as false.
b) he gave his true birthday date
c) the birth certificate with a different birth date given by Gregory
Tillett
is that of another CWL, not identical with the theosophical CWL
d) his life and work shows that he was a seer and regarded by many
students as the greatest initiate of 20th century.
e) that all the false accusations were fabricated by Katherine Tingley
and her secrecary Joseph Fussell with a hate and envy motive
f) his respect in the German Adyar section is so great that CWL was
honored at the 100th jubilee convention in 2002 in Berlin by showing
his portrait in the portrait line of the P.T.S., after Radha Burnier.

Subject: Theos-World Leadbeater revised
Anand Gholap claimed:
"(4) Boys asked him [Leadbeater] what to do about continuous sexual
thoughts in their minds. Leadbeater replied masturbation would relieve
from those thoughts for some time. Any doctor will tell you he is right.
>>From that statement many stories were created by others about CWL."
Interesting revision of history, but, alas, simply false.
Leadbeater, by his own admission:
(i) claimed to be able to know clairvoyantly when boys where experiencing
sexual desire and initiated discussions about masturbation with them;
(ii) "taught" (his word) masturbation to boys [whatever "taught" might
mean];
(iii) included "indicative action" in his "teaching" of masturbation;
(iv) may have used "physical touch" in his "teaching" of masturbation;
(v) did such things to pre-pubescent boys.
This is a long way - morally and legally - from providing counselling to
boys who sought his advice. Any doctor (or psychologist or clergyman or
counsellor) who did what Leadbeater admitted doing would be de-registered
and sent to jail.
