Why not recycle also all our ideas of what Theosophy is, all of them?
After all, does anyone hold the copyright of what Theosophy really is?
As long as I can find such statements like the following ones in
theosophical books, I will remain convinced that it is a very
worthwhile study and practice, no matter how big the proliferating
business of conspiracy theories in the field of Theosophy becomes.
"In its capacity of an abstract body, the Society does not believe in
anything, does not accept anything, and does not teach anything."
(In "The New Cycle" by HPB, originally published in the "Revue
Theosophique", March 1889.)
"The Society has no wisdom of its own to support or teach. It is
simply the storehouse of all the truths uttered by the great seers,
initiates, and prophets of historic and even prehistoric ages; at
least, as many as it can get. Therefore, it is merely the channel
through which more or less of truth, found in the accumulated
utterances of humanity's great teachers, is poured out into the
world." ("The Key to Theosophy", chapter III)
