Dear Zakk



You present some interesting views and analogies concerning light and
darkness as we know them - and, as vibratory effects on our eye and
then those are perceived to be interpreted in our brains for
consideration by our REAL SELVES the EGO in us. 



It is also agreed that we already, many of us, have studied modern
science and have adopted many other terms and understandings about the
action of light and other vibratory forces on this our present
physical plane. 



Since you are working on the SECRET DOCTRINE as regards these two
forces, may I send you some of the references I have found ?



There is also a mass of information to be had concerning the "Astral
Light" all around us on which are imprinted the record of our
thoughts, feelings and actions. One also speaks of the "Light of the
Mind" and, of the "flash" of intuition. In Theosophy these, the mind
and the Buddhi are aspects where light gives us by analogy a clearer
understanding of their nature and qualities 



But in all these we sense that there is as a basic root principle: the
ATMA - the ONE SPIRIT in us -- as a Ray of the UNIVERSAL SPIRIT. It
employs these various "principles" that constitute every human being
into a sentient and intelligent UNITY, and, in fact: all things in
nature are sevenfold. 



The basic element is called in the SECRET DOCTRINE the MONAD; and it
is described as an indissoluble unit of SPIRIT / MATTER (or ATMA /
BUDDHI) where ATMA is spirit and BUDDHI is primordial matter. These
MONADS of which we are one at our core, are immortals and are
therefore called the "Eternal Pilgrims." 



There is more to be obtained form THEOSOPHY on this practical
philosophical description of evolution and mankind as one of its
advanced aspects.



You will notice that the explanations and analogies used in the SECRET
DOCTRINE differ somewhat from your formulation and use.

Understanding white and black light : An attribute of white light is
brightness. An attribute of black light is dimness. 
With these two attributes, contrast occurs. There is no contrast
before the duality. There is clearness or clarity. 
Both brightness and dimness can cause blindness when either is
excessive. The physical eye ( generally speaking)
does not directly see either white or black light in it's emanated
state (there are other colors that the physical eye
