I'm pretty sure Blavatsky stated in the last years of her life, that
Balsamo was in no way related to Cagliostro, if that's who you're referring
to. It was vicious rumor-mongering by a vicious gossip, and 'proved' in
court.
She paints a very sympathetic portrait of Le Comte and his activities.
Bailey then states that Cagliostro was in fact, Blavatsky's prior
incarnation. Which I found quite interesting.
