Well, I am sure they know far more about it than I do since I know
almost nothing. But there seems to be a three way connection between
homosexuality, pedophilia, and priesthood, since both the Anglo-
Cathoolic (Church of England) and Roman Catholic priesthoods have
attracted a plethora of them. What makes that relevant to
theosophical history is that Leadbeater was an Anglican priest who
hightailed it out of England for unexplained reasons before
proclaiming himself a clairvoyant. In his excellent autobiography IN
MY OWN WAY, Alan Watts (who was definitely hetero and who ended up
divorced when he confessed to a group that included his wife that he
saw nothing wrong with infidelty) said from direct observation that
the Anglican priesthood attracted homosexuals because of the frilly
lace garments they wore. It is easy to see why the Catholic
priesthood would become a hideout for homosexuals since their priests
have a ready made excuse for not consorting with women. But that
they are also pedophiles seems inexplicable. Anyway, in the case of
Leadbeater it is probably not as valid as it would be in the larger
population to insist on there being no connection between his three
vices. Imagining himself "bishop" of his own cult is an obvious
compensation for being kicked out of the Anglican communion.
