The rantings of Dr Tillet against the Adyar TS are not new. What is
new, though, is his attempt to use my posting to attack the American
Section of the TS for publishing "The Letters of HPB".
Frankly, most people in the TS don't really care who's in charge, up to
a certain extent. However, the American Section (over protests that
include my own) has recently changed the form of its Board of Directors
so that it is virtually impossible that someone who is not known and
liked by the current Board of Directors to become a member of the Board
or officer of the TSA.
The membership list is kept private (I have suggested that people have
a checkbox on their membership form to allow their contact information
shared with other members), and the districts have expanded to such a
size that the only way a candidate can be known to enough members to
make a difference in voting is by being a National Speaker, or
publishing in a TSA publication (since the Federation publications only
reach about half the voting membership in a district), or by physically
visiting many Lodges over very large area at their own time and expense.
This is even more true in the International section. So, although there
is no official "point of view", what we do have is effectively a
self-perpetuating oligarchy.
