Thanks Pedro.
Well, the above may be the official view of the TS Adyar. -
And we may ask: Promoted by who ?
--- In the below you write1924 ? Is it not that a bit late to form such a
official TS policy when we remember that TS has existed since 1875 ?
I know I am just so boring. (smile...) I think 1875 should be the right year
to use on the term "freedom of thought". The law of Karma is allright. ---
Even so, it is the fundamental truth, that TS has a historical background
in which different leaderships has had different policies while promoting TS
it self.
And I talk about the leaderships promotion of Theosophy and not only its
official policies.
It is quite interesting to watch TS change its ham like a snake of wanted
wisdom while promoting it self.
(This said in a positive manner.)
At Blavatsky's and Olcott's time the TS had as its official policy, that the
Mahatma's
was in continous contact with its leadership and especially Blavatsky wrote
about these contacts and abnout TS in general.
This makes her somewhat responsible for the promotion of TS and of what I
will call the
"being in contact with the MASTERs policy of TS".
It cannot be put to doubt just like that, - that these contacts and the
publication of certain members having such contacts
at that time - deemed TS to be a genuine wisdom organisation in the eyes of
the newcomers and the interested public .
I think, that it is important the we understand this.
Even Besant and CWL and other of their assistents (so to speak) claimed to
be in contact with these Masters.
This is also a fact.
And it seems to be a fact that since just about 1934 the claimed contact
with the Master Morya and K. H.
have stopped.
They have not shown themselves physically as they did earliere in the good
old days.
If this is really the truth, we may ask ourselves why ?
Was it Hitler? Was it Karma?
And when Pedro - rightly indirectly tells us, that the TS policy has changed
in the sense, that there now is no
leaders at TS Adyar who - OFFICIALLY - proclaims to be in contact with the
Masters - not even Morya and K. H.,
we may ask ourselves why TS Adyar has changed its offical policies within
its leadership ???
Why is no leader at TS Adyar - TODAY - promoting Theosophy claiming to be in
contact with the Masters ?
Has it something to do with the Krishnamurti event - his dissolving of the
'Order of the MiddleEast' ?
(I know: "East".)
The answer can have something to do with our present state of the world
compared with the the earliere good old days
when Blavatsky and others keept the contact alive in a much more official
manner.
Even so, we have today more than 300 sects branched off from TS and what
not - all of them claiming that
their origins are related to TS or its Masters.
Among them there is at least 10-20 who claims that they TODAY have continous
contact with the Masters or
the Great White Brotherhood.
So should we go and look there for spiritual guidance - and drop TS Adyar
and its today very unclear or lower level stance ?
Is this in fact not what happens today, that people are doing just that ?
