Hallo all,
My views are:
Yeah.
Kirshnamurti's speech when dissolving the
"The Dissolution of the Order of the Star" can be read here.
http://www.kinfonet.org/Biography/dissolution.htm
I would not say that Krishnamurti tells the entire truth.
If so I will however be forced to abandon the Raja Yoga teachings on
spiritual development as a valid Path to any student. (smile...)
Not even the Adwaita Vedantin Shankarchya was against Raja Yoga, which
Trevor Lewgett's books on that issue seems to make a valid view upon.
Shankarchya incorporated Raja Yoga in his teachings.
I do not think Krishnamurti can be said to have done that with his speech.
And yet - later in his life he was - ORGANIZING - schools.
I do hope I do not interfere to much when I say the following:
There is with Krishnamurti a dilemma.
There is today in the world the Bakhti religious view of devotion to the
Avatar - as we withness it in the Bhagavad Gita.
And there was Krishnamurti's own view - that a mass of people will create an
organisation around the Avatar, and Krishnamurti did not want that.
To compare Krishnamurti with Sai Baba. - Sai Baba did allow an organisation
to be formed. But Sai Baba has always said, that he (or she) is not a member
of that organisation, and that the members of it are themselves responsible
for what they do when being in it. Sai Baba also says, that he will guide
the members of such an organisation because of their devotion to him.
Also Kirshnamurti's friend through 50 years the the theosophist Rajagopal
got married later on in his life to a woman who had a daughter named Diana
Baskin.
C. Jinarjadasa said about Raja / Rajagopal: "Raja had only to propound his
scheme and offers of help came. I have always admired and envied this gift
of his."
It is said, that Only very few knows the matters surrounding their break
with each other. Krishnamurti filed three lawsuits against Rajagopal. In
interesting behaviour of a man who do not support organisations, - but
appeartly accepts the Court as a valid solution. The two first lawsuits was
settled out of court and the third withdrawn, because Krishnamurti died.
(If any of the readers have any access to documentation on this issue, then
please let me know - or even Theos-Talk know.)
She wrote a book about Sai Baba. In this book she claims, that Krishnamurti
had asked for a meeting with Sai Baba when he was in India - Madras shortly
before he Krishnamurti died. She writes that Baba should have received a
rose from Krishnamurti when they meet - secretly unknown to the public.
Diana Baskin is as far as I know still living. The book referred to is
"Divine Memories of Sathya Sai Baba".
