Re: hitting the same STONE -- DISCRIMINATE

Dear Friends:

While I agree with the answer offered, I wonder if we might go deeper
and ask:

What is the nature of discrimination?

I suppose that it indicates there is a "right," or a "true" way -- and
possibly many others that are partial truths, or opinions and feelings
that still remain to be proved?

It also implies we have the power to know the difference.

Something in us KNOWS TRUTH from falsehood. Can we find out where or
what it is?

How can we make sure it is valid and will help us and others?

THEOSOPHY suggests in its literature: The KEY TO THEOSOPHY, SECRET
DOCTRINE, The VOICE OF THE SILENCE, what the nature of these records of
history, experiment, and mental discovery are. I say: ought we not try
to discover them, and see if we can apply them?

In The KEY TO THEOSOPHY (pp. 91-2, 135-6, 175-6)for instance, we find
that the teaching about the "7-fold nature of Man and of Nature" places
a "Spiritual, Divine" Principle [ATMA] in every speck of manifested
matter -- and therefore in every human. I would say that discrimination
and a determination of truth would lie in appealing to that level of
universal wisdom, which none of us are without. As I understand it,
BUDDHI (wisdom) is the next "principle" we all have, and when appealed
to by mind (MANAS) it responds.

It like holding a dialog between our two selves: the HIGHER and the
Lower minds, the universal and the selfish personal.

See if that is reasonable?

Best wishes,

Dallas

Dears;

We have to use our power of discrimination on that.

To distinguish between! Left and right hand path and to know the way
that, that kind of sorcery, mastery, black magic and satanism, sects
and all kind of that stuff HPB learns [teaches]	us in the "children
garden".
