Friends,
I think many seem to misinterpret the word "Lord" as referring solely to
personages. It's root meaning actually is ruler or governor. This can be taken
either personally, such as "Landlord" -- or impersonally, such as "rules of
law." Therefore, It might make a great deal of sense if we substitute for the
word "Lords" as used in the Bible or when mentioned in theosophical literature,
the word LAWS. Doesn't this conform to what HPB meant when she advised us to
"read in and around the words and between the lines" -- or, in other words, to
avoid dead letter interpretations of theosophical teachings or any scriptural
material?
