Very interesting comment. Thanks indeed. Actually she seems to have
assigned intellectual pride to the third and not the second ray. I
looked up the "rays" in the book and finally found the section you
referenced. It should be said this is one of the books in which
Bailey felt the need to promote her antiSemitic sentiments, which in
itself seems to void the claim that it was written by a "Tibetan."
It makes little sense that a monk sequestered in the mountains of
Tibet would be obsessed with what at the time was a purely European
system of prejudice. Anyway this is typical of the kind of internal
evidence which seems to moot the hook's claims.
<snip>

The only reference I found in that work is as follows- afaik, this was published in 1942, and has the very unfortunate grammar to refer to a "Jewish problem". The timing for that piece of phraseology couldn't have been worse. Nowhere in her works that I've read is she anti-Semitic, although she does make some harsh claims- for instance that there is a strain of separativeness and aloofness that goes back to Atlantean times. Here's the quote you may be referring to:

Esoteric Psychology II - Chapter II - The Ray of Personality - Problems of Disciples and Mystics

This relegation of the psychic powers to a position below the threshold of consciousness is the intent of the development planned for the Aryan race.
I would like here to point out that I use the word "Aryan" in contradistinction to the majority of the races found in Asia. Speaking generally, we can today classify the races into three groups:

The many remnants of the Atlantean or fourth root-race people, plus a very small sprinkling of the Lemurian peoples - so small as to be negligible.
The Aryan race itself, which includes the civilization of India and all Latinos, Teutons, Nordics, and Anglo-Saxons, and their various off-shoots.
A group which bridges between the Oriental races and the Aryan race which we call the Semitic. This race is neither purely Oriental nor is it Aryan.
The Jews are a group of people in whom the principle of separation is pronouncedly present. For ages they have, with determination and in obedience to the injunctions in the Old Testament, insisted on regarding themselves as a people set apart. For ages they have held themselves separated off from all other peoples in the world. The result is that they are now evoking from the races among whom they are scattered a corresponding desire to force that very separation upon them. Under the law, we draw forth from others what is actually present within ourselves, and to this law, races and nations are no exception. Through the interrelation of Jew and Gentile, of Semitic and Aryan, and through the solving of [581] the Jewish problem will the great heresy of separateness eventually be fought out.

btw, Bailey typifies the World War- not differentiating I & II- as the struggle brought to the physical plane between the disciples of light and the brothers of the Left hand path,( embodied by the nazi rulers) and a great triumph for the Spiritual Ashrams. She typifies the suffering of the Jews as a karmic cleansing for them, and predicts great karmic retribution for the German people as instigators of the War(s) at some point down the road.
She also labels the post-war creation of the State of Israel a wrongdoing and a regrettable extension of the evil machinations of the War. She does not have kind words for the Zionist movement which brought that about, nor their active arm, the terrorist Stern gangs.
I don't see her as anti-Semitic from any of that- harsh, perhaps.
btw, she is certainly no fan of the nazis. Her descriptions of them, especially the karmic consequences for the leadership is some of the grimmest occult reading you'll find. Blavatsky's 8th sphere avichi is "where" she describes their last stop. Mr. Hitler et al have left the building and won't be back.

regards-

Ali
