Hallo Mauri,
My views are:
Yes.
I just joined the place again.
Quite interesting remarks.
I have mentioned the following before, - just in another situation.
The views are in a certain sense similar to your comments on - thought
systems and Blavatsky - :

To expand a bit on the issues. the following might be helpful to some
readers:
Also this one: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/theos-talk/message/13643
An minor excerpt:
"The manner in which certain theosophical systems operate requires, that the
interested
Seekers after Truth and Wisdom study a system, which enables them to learn
how to learn.
Or how to remove ignorance (as promoted by Shankara and others).
When one reaches a certain level of understanding of such a system, one
quite often NOT
need to speculate any more.
Isn't that great ?
If course there is a downside. One will be at risk of losing ones -
speculating image.
But, that can't be that much worth, at least not when compared to
non-speculating wisdom.".......
(Try for instance the book "Learning how to Learn" by Idries Shah. Is
problably available on the major local library.)
We could ask ourselves why we email and read emails - or is it the auras?
Are emails dualistic in nature ?
Or are they also following the doctrine:
All the world is Maya - but the TRUTH is shown there.
God - ParaBrahman is TRUTH.
Certain cults or systems, which operate with
a basis of a dualistic character do so
to attract newcomers.
Maybe that is why the Masters are so difficult to reach to
some newcomers, who are "speculating" around non-dualism. (smile...)
If the Seeker after Truth are thirsty enough
the Master comes along.
*******
A - wry - tale set in a teahouse;
a Theosophical term for a meeting place of Theosophists. A monk enters
and states:
"My master taught me to spread the word that mankind will never
be fullfilled until the man who has NOT been wronged is as indignant
about a wrong as the man who actually HAS been wronged."
The assembly is momentarily impressed. Then Nasrudin speaks:
"My Master taught ME that nobody at all should become indignant
about anything until he is sure that what he thinks is a wrong is in
fact a wrong - and not a blessing in disguise!"
A Seeker was one time praying for the Avatar to come and help.
He sat down for hours. Nothing really happened.
He gave it a go the next day as well and the whole week through.
Then when he was almost about to give up. Krishna appeared in
front of him and said: 'You want help?'
The Seeker was baffled and asked: 'Why did you arrive now and not before?'
Krishna said: 'When you were praying - You thought I was far away, so it
took some time for me to get here.'
When do we ever learn ?
