Agreed, but all these metaphors and allegories say the same thing. Jesus'
statement could be extended to; "... sword of wisdom," or "power of wisdom"...
As Arjuna's Bow and Arrows can represent the inner powers and forces of
mind we have to use to overcome, kill out, or sever the negative cords (forces)
of power over our real self by our lower nature. What stands dehind the
divine source's so called "omniscience" and "omnipotence" -- if not the "force'
behind its wisdom to apply it both constructively and destructively, as required?
Isn't the entire teaching of theosophy based on giving us the means to
understand and control both the inner and outer forces of our nature for the purpose
of taking full control of our individual destiny's, and aligning their
relationships to the destiny of the Universe -- while turning all our destructive
negative forces to creative positive force so as to harmonize ourselves with
all of nature?... And, yet, aren't we also enjoined to become able to use and
apply the negative forces to cull out or reverse the errors of blind nature?
In reality, everything in the universe is made up of force... Both positive
and negative, attractive and repulsive... In infinite degrees of
frequency/energy, substantiality, and location in the many levels of our hyperspace
existence... All coming directly from the primal source or what some call "God" (and
that we call, "the Architects of the Universe" or "Dhyan Chohans"). Could
they have built this universe without a thorough knowledge of all those forces,
their interrelations and correlation's and how to direct them? Therefore, all
these forces, and their transformations and correlation's must be fully
understood, in all their interactions and interrelationships -- if one is to gain
"divine wisdom" and do the work of God.
The whole basis of wisdom is proper application of these forces of Nature --
which must first be understood for what they are, and how they are to be
applied. Unless the student understands this and becomes intimate with such
forces and learns to control them with utmost delicacy and precise judgment -- as
Arjuna always hits the exact center of his target with his bow -- enlightenment
can never be reached... Nor can we be capable of doing Gods will -- which is
to harmonize all of nature. (All the bleeding heart and wishy washy
sentimental nonsense about love and compassion to the contrary notwithstanding -- as
God's advocate might say.:-) True theosophy, at the level of the occultist, who
is wisely capable of harnessing these forces and applying them properly, is
not for the faint of heart.
Of course, we all know that negative or destructive forces, as used outwardly
by armies, are not the way to gain inner wisdom or to apply it. But
sometimes, such outwardly applied force is necessary to directly resist the forces of
evil. And, such use, must be based on our knowledge and wisdom necessary to
carefully and effectively point and control them. We must also understand that
true wisdom can only be based on true knowledge of all that ever was, is, and
can be -- along with the full knowledge of the origin, involution, evolution
and correlation of all the internal and external forces that guide its
evolution (that cannot be left alone to chance occurrences or misapplied negative
forces by the enemies of natural harmonies). Even compassion and love, require
the proper application of force in one form or another, both internally and
externally, to assure their correct and harmonious expression.
Best wishes,
LHM
