Mauri,
well, it is difficult to attempt to explain the sound of the Nada, but
I will
try to give the best I can do. The way that seems most close to it is
to
imagine the sound of a Great Bell sounding from deep in the ocean.
The first time I had it I had laid down in our living room on the fold
down couch next to the windows, it was summer and late evening.
I was not asleep but in a relaxed mental state and was watching the
many thoughts running on in my mind. Through the venetian blinds I
could see the night sky and as cars passed by on the street the
alternating light and dark shadow of the blinds lit by the moving
car headlights glided across the ceiling above me. I became aware
of a very distant sound that was different from what was normal for
that time of night and our Southside Chicago neighborhood. It
was continuos and it cycled, mild at the beginning and growing
louder at the end of each cycle. Soon it was not the unintrusive
distant unusual sound as it was when I first became aware of it
but it had become the dominant sound and grew even louder to
the point I was becoming unsettled by it. I mentally listed
explanations in my mind of the noises and sounds I was familiar with
but none would or could be this Sound, the Sound was not anything I
had ever heard in all my life up to that point! It now grew so loud
that I became alarmed by it and went to sit up but could not, I could
not move even though I was wide awake and fully conscious and
aware, hearing the sounds of the cars still passing in the street and
shadows they cast running up the wall and across the ceiling as
before. I tried to call my Mother who was sleeping close by in her
bedroom but I could not utter a sound, then I really got alarmed
as nothing ever like this had happened to me before. Then without
notice a tall hooded figure appeared at the foot of the couch and
said two separate things to me. I was scared to death and thought
this figure was the Angel of Death literally. Little did I know that
after
this first time I would experience the Sound many time no matter
where or how far from home I was. As to what was said to me both
statements remained an enigma for many years and even decades.
Meanwhile, later at time when the sound came i would be transported
to see certain things, one time I thought I was in the louvre in
Paris and
was shown a very large oil painting that occupied the entire wall at
one end of the large hall at the smaller end of the rectangle of the
Hall. the painting was of a night scene with a pretty peaked mountain
and on the mountain were Seven Burning Pine Tree's in a chevron at
the summit, the leaves were a very peculiar shape hard to describe
like elongated "S's" and they were all Silver. In the Purple night sky
above the Tree's and the mountain I saw the Big Dipper and facing
me as I took in the painting was in the lower left side of the
painting
a hooded figure whose face was half in shadow. The garment was
Ochre in color and I felt that this person was a woman. She held a
large Vase on her right and her left hand was extended to it as if
indicating it.

Well, for years I searched for that Painting, lol! I never found it!
I was so sure it was in the Louvre in Paris where I was shown it. I
guess I am a little slow, as then I was still very young. I will say
this
the way people say the "OM" is not quite the way it really sounds in
it's form, lilt, and tonal change.
Years later while stationed in the Army in Germany we were posted
at Kitzingen a few kilometers from Wurzberg, I spent many days on the
weekends at Marion Castle there and wandered the streets admiring
the beautiful buildings and the art forms stuccoed on them. How I wish
I had know about H.P.B. living there and Theosophy back then when I
a young man and was just up to reading Schopenhaur, Kant. and
Neitsche. The Sound came when it pleased to, and I did my best to
avoid it if I sensed it was about to start I would be the only
soldier up
in the barracks for a while. I last heard it in 1981, before I saw the
Boundless Light and Home. Since then the Nada is not here at least as
I knew it as sound, but instead I get "Living Light" shows
periodically
that last sometimes a short time and sometimes several hours.

One of the two statements the figure said to me back in the 1950's
was: " I Stand In the Gate." I never knew what that could mean, but,
in 1976 I and a Mufon Representative in LA were investigating a case
and a few months after we began the Experiencer was requested to
be transported to longitude-Latitude Coordinates, Tiahuanaco, Gate
of the Sun, for Quantum Elevation of Mind Nous Exponent 4, at the
appointed time December solstice, 1976. He went and the request
was completed to satisfaction. Then a second request was made for
the Summer Solstice June 1977, somehow the means to get him and
one other was found and again the request was completed.

So, about your shrill sound like a phone? Well, I have had astral
phone rings for many years to the point that it wakes me up and I go
pick up the physical phone and say hello, and there is nothing but the
"Dial" tone, lol. I finally got to the point that I understood to mock
up
an astral phone and answer it, then there was someone at the other
end. as to the sharp explosion you mention, the only thing I have read
or heard of like that is from Scientology and they call "Fascimilty
One"
it is described as like a gunshot close to ones head that is sudden,
with no warning. They associate it with an early moment of the creation
, my memory is a little dim as I read this back in the late 1960's.

Try searching Google for "Siddhi's," the Mystical sounds Daniel
recently in the Voice of The Silence. Noetic sounds are not limited
to
just the 10 primary types usually listed referencing the Siddhi's. Do
exploring and research on the topic of spiritual sounds and get your
feet wet a little in the waters of the literature on the topic.

John
