Dear Bart,
I like to quote Mohammed (Henry Olcott's former life) on this one.
He is said to have told his followers to tie the leg of the camel
and go to bed. Or as my initiating Master told us when asked: "if we
get sick or if someone wrongs us legally should we just let it be?"
He said "No, go to the doctor, take the medicine and leave the
results to Him." And for legal matters he would say something that I
really liked but it escapes me now.
And yes, FYI someone did come in my yard this summer and took all
my lawn grooming tools. The culprit turned out to be an ex-con who
had just got out of prison. Because of my standing, his karma took
hold immediately. I did not press charges but he went back to
beating his wife and the next day was taken back to prison for
life. I know because they were living in a rundown duplex on the
corner, in an otherwise working and middle-class neighborhood.
For a more dramatic example I saw on the inner planes the whole
scene of my mother, sister and cousin's deaths but I could not
change it. We did sue for wrongful death but the money was useless
to me and my family. It evaporated like mist. But would I have
changed my mother's karma if I could have? Naturally.
And finally "Render to Ceasar the things that are Cesaer's and to
God the things that are God's."
