Dear Krishtar,
The Mahatmas are Bodhisatvas, persons that have
reached enlightment and have renounced nirvana, to
help humanity.
They would not leave the planet and humanity by it's
own. I am sure Dallas can give you lot's of
informations about this subject, once I am quite busy
to look for some informative material for you.
About so many people channeling, most of them are in
contact with elementals. Or with forms created and
nourished by their own will and imaginations. You
understand that by the melodramatic contents of their
"channeled letters" or by it's superficiality.
The criteria for the Master to get in touch with
someone are very high. Have a look into the Occultism
Practical by H.P.B., and also on this article of
