Krishtar,
Thanks for your reply and comment. Yes, Meade's work is very fine with
extensive subnotes and topical border indexing on the side page border.
He
was of the view that the Pistis Sophia (Faith Wisdom) was only one part
of an
original Tetrad. If my memory serves me correctly he pointed to the works
of
Emile Amelineau whose works were published only in French and to my
knowledge have never been englished or published here in America. I once
talked with the Antiquarian for Samuel Weisner Publishing in Maine on the
phone
whilst searching for these works in translation, he remarked that he had
never
seen or even heard of Amelineau's works and had never had a copy of any
of
them in their possession. One of the works was a Text called "The Book of
the
Angels."
Meade was well ahead of his time on the Gnostics, writting precursor
works
which later after the discovery of the Nag Hammadhi Texts in the mid
1900's
showed him to be a Scholar and a shining Light equiped with a special
sensitivy
and talent most complementary for the purpose laying a new Echoe of the
Gnosis
for present generations that now have the Nag Hammadhi and Gnostic
Librarys
online.
