Dear Friend:
To try to answer your question, let me offer my thoughts, they are based
on a study of H P B's works:
There is in each human a MONAD (SPIRIT / MATTER conjoined)
It is eternal, deathless, and periodically around it, when it
reincarnates under the force of its own self-made past Karma, is formed
the present body we used, called in THEOSOPHY the "PERSONALITY." In
that we find that the highest aspect of this "personality" of ours, is
called in THEOSOPHY: "Kama-Manas" (the lower-desire-wrapped mind).
When, under the inspiration of Idealism and Altruism the lower mind
aspires to understand spiritual things, a link to the HIGHER MIND
(BUDDHI-MANAS) is opened. This link is interior to all humans, as
Buddhi is one of the Higher Spiritual principles of every man or woman.
NADA is an ancient name given to symbolize the truths of all Nature's
experience, and ours. It is symbolized under the guise of "The Voice of
Nada," who, when focused in us, is called the Higher Self or
BUDDHI-MANAS. In that case we speak of "The Voice of Conscience."
Since NADA-BRAHMA is the "divine resonance of Nature" it is related to
"the music of the spheres" (Pythagoras). [ see S D I 81, 167, 431-2,
II 600-1]
The Principle of BUDDHI is universe-wide, hence the voice of Nada is the
voice of truth and fact that is universal.. Such truths and facts are
imprinted for eternity in the AKASA. They form the basis for universal,
as well as individual, Karma. All our choices and motives are imprinted
there. An Adept, able to read the Akasa, can see the trends of Karma
for the universe, for a race, or an individual, the cycles are all made
clear to such a spiritual vision.
It is also clear that such a knowledge will only become available to
those who will not abuse or misuse it. So if we aspire to learn then we
have to spiritualize ourselves thoroughly.
This the "path" indicated by every ancient religion at its very root,
when the teacher or prophet spoke and taught. It is the same ancient
teaching that THEOSOPHY offers today to us all. "Man, Know Thyself."
"Man, spiritualize thyself."
Best washes,
Dallas

Subject: The VOICE OF NADA --seductively criticizing
Hi Mauri and others
As i havenīt had spare time to write to tHe group, i keep reading...
I donīt know if I am getting dull or something but I find Mauriīs
considerations too confusing.
Isīnt it too much racionality? I gess so.
This way of writing so speculatively sometimes seems reflects the way in
which you think and I feel that it is too much racional.
Shouldīnt we use our intuition as often as ? which potencially increases
our egoīs access to a more natural action towards our Buddhic body - to
catch an easier and inner meaning of things?
At least the rosicrucians say so.
My question is, what good is to analize every word and its two or
threefold meanings? Full of inverted commas, comparisons, and so on.
How does such a enquiring mind behave during a meditation, for
example? Can it hear the voice of Nada?
