Let me add my 0.02.

1. There are branches which rarely have *any* public meetings. So that by 
itself is no indication whether they are Theosophical or not.
2. A quick visit to www.theosophical.org website will show the kind of 
programs that it offers -- and most of them one has to pay a fee. Reader 
can come their own conclusion.
