I prefer the story of the Wise Samaritan, who, coming upon the man who had
been beaten and robbed, immediately went over to him to see if he had anything
else worth stealing. He found a crust of old bread which the robbers had left
behind and, being a compassionate man, he took it to give to the birds and
being a wise man, he cut the traveller's throat, so no word of this could leak
out.
