Dear Dallas
You write:
<<<It is interesting to note that MAHAT ( Universal Mind) is its "first
aspect" II 59;>>> its meaning PARABRAHM'S
When thinking of the First Fundamental Proposition (vol. I, page 14), isn't
this unlikely?
What it actually says on page 58 (rather than 59) is: "the first Cosmic
aspect of Parabrahm...," which is surely totally different to saying it is
the first aspect of Parabrahm?
Best wishes
Tony

Re: PARABRAHM
Dear Friends:
THEOSOPHICAL GLOSSARY (HPB) defines PARABRAHM ( p. 248) as
" ..Beyond Brahma....The Supreme infinite Brahman, "Absolute"--the
attributeless, the secondless REALITY. The impersonal and nameless
universal Principle."
It is Unknowable S D II 128, 330, 553,
It is called the "ultimate unconsciousness" S D II 598;
If this is accepted, then everything on whatever plane is enfolded in
IT.
Also It does not (cannot) ACT as it has no attributes ( S D I
6-7, 130fn, 340, 428-9, 451, II 90, ); It is ever UNMANIFEST ( II
233 );
It is interesting to note that MAHAT ( Universal Mind) is its "first
aspect" II 59;
It is also called the ONE LIFE or "Great Breath" symbolically I
226fn;
best wishes,
Dallas

Subject: Parabrahman and action
Hi,
THinking of Parabrahman acting are two concepts that don't unite in
my mind, which is why I talked about "any god", instead of your word:
Parabrahman. Parabrahman is the All, isn't it, the fundamental root
of everything, allencompassing etc. It acts only in that there is
action in it - at least, that is how my mind can only see it. To ask
for its inspiration in action, seems like a contradiction in terms.
to me.
