If you convince one person to change their mind, then you have changed
the world. Note that for every person who participates in these
conversations, there are several who just read the messages. When an
argument breaks out, some may be convinced of one position or the other,
or may decide that both positions are wrong. In all cases, because they
think about it, they get a little closer to the truth.

Far too much politics these days is aimed at the kama manas. At the
very least, these conversations push things into the buddhi manas, and
that alone is pretty useful.
