Steve, have you followed the post election reports on the verified
tallies from Florida? When the election was still being hotly contested
and when the Supreme Court handed down its ruling, the media was loaded
with stories about how these various independent groups would soon be
converging on Florida and would check and recheck all those ballets,
including those infamous hanging chads, etc., and then once and for all
the world would know that Gore was truely the victor and that Bush had
stolen the election with the help of the Court.
Those counts certainly did take place, but not too much was said about
it. Because after all the tallying was done using the very methods the
Gore people insisted be used, George W Bush still won. Case closed!
Of course not much is said about how Nixon was robbed of the 1960
election with Kennedy by old Joe pulling strings in Illinois and all the
dead who voted, etc. seems the media only likes to report things or make
a big deal about it when their guy is losing.
Fot that matter, what about all the unopened servicemens absentee
ballots?
Lets face it Steve, politics is dirty business, but what better way could
we chose those who lead us? If we still followed what the Founders wrote
then Bush would be president and Gore the Veep, but the shinanagans of
Aaron Burr ended that long ago.
Reminds me of my political science days in college when the saying was
"well if you can't land a regular job, you can always run for public
office."
