Canadian Weapons Inspectors Headed for the U.S.

Is the United States a rogue state? George W. Bush, otherwise known
as "W" or as Governor Bush of Texas, has stated that a rogue
government is identified by the following criteria:
1) It has massive stockpiles of chemical,
biological, and nuclear weapons;
2) Its leaders ignore due process at the United Nations;
3) Its leaders refuse to sign and honor international
treaties; and
4) Its leaders have come to power through illegitimate means.
Those four criteria, especially the last (have come to power through
illegitimate means) apply to George W. Bush himself. He is
therefore, by his own showing, the rogue leader of a rogue state.
Whether he had any self awareness when he assembled these four
criteria or not is not clear, but he stands condemned out of his own
mouth.
A Canadian group which calls itself Root Out Evil is therefore
assembling a team of Weapons Inspectors which will inspect suspected
sites in the United States which are there for the purpose of housing
nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons. Unlike Governor Bush, who
supports the development, storage, and deployment of these weapons by
himself while promulgating a completely different standard of
behavior for everyone else in the world, Root Out Evil thinks the
Governor should heed his own rules.
According to Christy Ferguson, spokesperson for Root Out
Evil, "We're ... demanding that the U.S. grant our inspectors
immediate and unfettered access to any site in the country" incuding
Presidential compounds such as Camp David and Bush's various palaces
in Crawford and elsewhere. David Langille, who is also involved in
this project, says the group is not planning to just raid the Bush
liquor cabinet (which may be empty considering the way George likes
to drink) but to "identify the weapons of mass destruction in this
rogue state." If George is making killer bugs at his compound in
Texas, he'd better start hiding them. The coalition will soon be
knocking on his door.
Governor Bush does not have much time to put together a complete
declaration of his nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons. The
weapons inspectors expect to be in the United States later this
winter. Like the U.N., Rooting Out Evil is an international
coalition which includes:
Greenpeace Canada,
The Centre for Social Justice,
The Toronto Committee Against War and Sanctions on Iraq,
The National Network to End the War Against Iraq
Global Exchange
The Women's International League for Peace and Freedom (US section)
