I think they showed poor judgement and moral cowardice by not kicking
his ass out when they found out what he was. That is a failing of
numerous organizations in the same position, most notably the RC
church, which has covered up hundreds of cases of child molestation
by priests, secretly paid billions in hush money, and winked at
carnal liaisons between the offending priests and their homo
bishops. In the case of the TS they dealt with only one major
offender and got caught off guard. Their case is more forgivable
than that of the RCs, which has had a homo priesthood for centuries
and which has known this problem would come to a boil eventually.
They had plenty of time to have a high level pow wow and decide it
was in the best interest of the institition to put their bejeweled
feet down on the problem. I can understand great courage and moral
conviction is required by rhe leaders at a time like that. It is
nonetheless true that they did not have either of those qualities.
