I hope you don't mind me butting in with my $.02?
You know, sometimes there is NO answer as to what to do with someone
whom we think or find are in error in a group. Think of women in this
country who have had to endure all sorts of things from spouses which
were not fully understood by the law and therefore women's concerns
were put on the backburner until the law and society played catchup
to what women needed in their lives and hence the long-overdue
proliferation of safe places for women and children to go when they
are threatened or homeless.
That is what comes to mind when I read about the problems which CWL
put into the lap of the TS. I think it is unfair that he was so
selfish (a little crazy too maybe) and did what he did. But then
there is the reality of mystical diseases and insanities. These
things are often ROOTED in sexual dysfunctions or identity problems
or just plain being overly consumed by LUST.
I think we did the best we could given the circumstances. And there
is no use beating ourselves up for not doing more. I think he left or
was kicked out the group. Yeats was put out the esoteric section of
the TS for wanting to pursue ghosts and spirits. They were both
threats to the TS. I think that is what is important to remember.
These things are threats from within and have NOTHING to do with TS
itself. All movements, religions, and leaders are subject to this
type of karma....least we forget.
