Hi Bakti,
Yes, there are all kinds of interpretations out there. And
of course soteric issues, because they are esoteric (ie,
hidden, involved, abstract, related to certain kinds of soul
searches, etc), have a long history of apparently giving
many people the excuse of going off on various kinds of
interpretive tangents, for various reasons.
