Outside Chad and Sudan I believe they enslave their co-religionists.
In Africa they seek to enslave Christians but that has nothing to do
with someone protesting offensive behavior in Indonesia. Australian
tourists are not reformers trying to bring Christian values to the
Islamic world. They are just there to have a good time. My point is
that since people in some parts of the world find it offensive for
others to have a good time, especially if that includes dancing,
consorting with women, drinking alcohol, and eating pig, someone who
is not a missionary might want to avoid tourist destinations where
his behaviors are likely to cause offense with disastrous results.
The other point was that since they attacked specifically a site
where behaviors are exhibited which are forbidden by their religion,
it is reasonable to assume that they were not seeking out
specifically Australians but that the persons present at the time of
the attack just happened to be Australians. If I were an Australian
tourist trying to find some way to get the hell our of Australia I
would just go to Tahiti. The French rule that place and they don't
give a damn what you do, so long as you don't kill anyone, or as long
as the victim is not French.

If you want to go to Indonesia and be a missionary, be sure to check
with customs to see if you can import body armor. And let me know
how it went if you get back. Me, I'm staying right here where it's
safe.
