There was no Richard Heydrich. The SD was headed by
Reinhard Heydrich. Also, SD stands for Security
Service, not Intelligence Department. Foreign
intelligence was one of their many functions, though.

Nazi Germany was a republic just as the US is, despite
the "reich" misnomer in its legal title.

I hope not., I would hate to think the FBI has
started torturing people, instead of having the
Syrians and Filipinos do it for them.
Interestingly, Alan Dershowitz, noting that the most
notorious terrorists are currently Muslims, advocates
the legalization of torture. I was disappointed by
that, since I have always admired him. He has not
commented to my knowledge whether he would advocate
torturing Jewish Defense League members or captured
Mossad terrorists or whether it should apply to only
Muslims. I think he should do a G. Gordon Liddy and
hold his hand over a burning flame for a few minutes
then decide whether torture really is a justifiable
strategy

We tell the FBI to stop drinking coffee and writing
memos and get with it, that's how. Then we look for
someone to blame if they screw up.

It is for me. I found it one day in my closet. And
to think I had forgotten I even put it there.

Sell everything you have and give to the poor, namely
me.
