Hi Dallas and all,
Answering your reply Dallas.

Questions: Yes, but when do any theosophist deal with them ? Or are they dealing with them, and what are they doing - and how ? Are secret actions going on ?

inertia of ignorance, and then vague fears are advanced to make this
herd of sheep-like beings move one way or the other. It is highly
undesirable in terms of individual advancement. Only those who have
some personal agenda make use of others in this way.
Theosophy is diametrically opposite to, and opposed to such
manipulation."
A question: Can or will you enhance upon this statement so to help us all ?

The thought, that 'capacity comes before opinion' comes to my mind. The following is perhaps somewhat related to the above.
A little story:
Questioner:
Some people say, that they can learn through studying books, others that there is'nt anything worthwhile in books, and others havn't found the right books yet. What are your reactions to this sort of thing ?
Answer:
I can't do better than to repeat an old story told by a wise initiate. He described how at one time he looked for books and did not find them; then he found them and thought, that everything was in them. Finally, but only after going through all these phases - and phases they are - he realised which - were - the books useful to him, and what their use really was.
What had been wrong was his attitude of accepting or rejecting books before he himself attained the capacity to study the matter properly. He was forming opinions without first developing ordinary capacities further; and asking for things without being able to profit from them.
He should have started with more commen sense.
Why does people always (or very often) wonder whether books are any good, without wondering whether they are themselves in a state to profit from them ?
-- Premature independence is the daughter of conceit. --
People are concentrating on the idea of books, not the ideas in books !
HPB's article "Is Theosophy a RELIGION?" should give some readers something to think of, when they consider their own - present so very passive attitudes - on Theosophical Public Relation versus other religions, politics and ideologies.
Corruption doesn't pay.
People say don't mind and it doesn't matter what others do.
I say do 'matter' and do 'mind' what others do.
But act wisely.
And I think wisely is wisely.
So it is.
There is nothing but Parabrahman - the good in good - netiher something, all or nothing - and beyond thoughts.
