Messages from Water

I recently attended a lecture given by Masaru Emoto on Messages from
Water. Here are some notes that I compiled if anyone's interested.

Gratitude
One of the most memorable things that impressed me when I listened to
the lecture given by Masaru Emoto is that the most beautiful water
crystal that they could create was formed from a combination of love
and gratitude. Love and gratitude gives one a very high immunity. A
breakdown in vibration causes illness.
Group work and consciousness
The most important theme that I gathered from Emoto's lecture was
water and its relationship to group consciousness.
Something as simple as water can teach us so much. For example, it
can be illustrated that a drop of water expresses its gratitude by
becoming one with the cosmic ocean. [Editor's note: Let's see...we're
in the age of Aquarius, the sign of the water bearer. Wouldn't you
say that Aquarius is synonymous with brotherhood and group
consciousness?]
Frequencies
Speaking of frequencies, Emoto's understanding was almost similar to
the theosophical concept of planes or octaves based on the seven
notes of the musical scale and how these notes repeat themselves on
higher and higher frequencies, ie. higher and higher planes of
consciousness. He mentioned that some people like Buddha and Christ
would be on a much higher octave or frequency.
Masaru Emoto had an interesting take on Einstein's E=mc2 where c2 is
c squared. E is energy; m is group of people; and c2 is
consciousness. The higher the consciousness, the higher the energy
level which repeats itself but at higher and higher octaves or
frequencies. To Emoto, E=mc2 is all about consciousness.
Sacred Geometry
Most crystals are in a hexagonal shape. Water always tries to be a
perfect hexagonal crystal. The more perfected the crystal is, the
better the quality of the water. However, Emoto believes that for
advanced individuals, more complex crystalline shapes can occur such
as the heptagonal or octagonal. He once took a sample of the water
that was drunk by the Dalai Lama. The crystals that the water formed
were heptagonal. He believes that octagonal crystals are of the 4th
dimension whereas the hexagonal crystals are of the 3rd dimension.
Emoto's vision to unify humanity
Emoto also spoke of his vision of synthesis, how water can help form
a common language to unify humanity. The words, "thank you" formed
similar crystalline patterns no matter what language it was spoken
in. Positive emotions and thoughts created beautiful water crystals.
Negative emotions and thoughts created ugly looking water crystals.
By looking at the crystalline pattern, we can determine what the
person is trying to say. Someday, he hopes to gather all the "thank
yous" said in all languages and present his findings to the UN
General Assembly.
I suppose one could say that his wife was the source of his inspired
vision. When Masaru Emoto married his Korean wife, his relatives
disapproved bitterly. He promised himself that he would find a way so
that there would never be war between Japan and Korea. He realized
his vision would have to be international in scope.
Spoken Word
Music was supposed to be for healing before it became art. Classical
music creates many different kinds of beautiful crystals while music
like heavy metal and rock/roll create very ugly formations. Emoto
believes that people listen to music that resonates with their
bodies' frequencies.
Sutras and mantras are said to activate the water in the body of the
person who is chanting.
He did experiments on the mantram, "Om Namaha Shivaya." This mantram
produced a very beautiful water crystal. The older the mantram, the
more beautiful and complex is the crystals formed by the water.
Emoto believes that sound is so powerful that people's prayers can go
all the way out to space and come back. Pure prayers are able to
resonate at higher frequencies and come back at even greater
frequencies. In Japan, Emoto coordinated a prayer session where 350
people showed up. They were to direct their prayers to the most
polluted lake in Japan. A year later, the stench from the lake was
gone. Several months later, an ultrasonic sound at 200,000 hertz hit
the lake. The dioxene(sp?) disappeared. The universe had answered
back. Emoto believes that constellations respond at ultrasonic sound.
