Bruce, But Burton seems to have been a Muslim, by training and it would 
seem by conviction as well. He belonged to a couple of mystical Muslim 
orders. He certainly passed as a Muslim in many places, including Mecca 
and Somalia, etc. partly as a spy and explorer of course.
