A view:
I won't say that I - 'believe' - or anything like that.
But I would say, that I think.
Masters are in general wise. They are defined to be so.
If Morya was as wise as Master is, he would for sure have been capeable of concealing his personality very easily in the writings, so not even Steve will be able to detect it, while reading book's inspired from Morya.

Who said, that the Mahatma letters didn't change since they first was received and read ?
Some people posses what is called telekinetic capeabilities. You have my word on that, I know.
