The book was published in 1936, long after he lost the election after Besant died. Until Kessinger reprinted it, it was one of the rarest books and I have seen only 2 copies in the last four decades and it was reported that it was removed from the libraries of TS Lodges/Branches.

Ernest E. Wood goes into detail his early history, and his work in the
Society in England, and in India extensively in his book, IS THIS
THEOSOPHY?, evidently written some time after he lost his run for
President of the Adyar section. The book is still in print, ISBN
0-7661-0829-5 from the Kessinger publishers, www.kessingerpub.com

It is a very interesting commentary on India at that time, Annie
Besant, Leadbeater, and others. It is 318 large pages. His writing
often reminds me of Andy Rooney's commentary.
