Anyone who finds it terribly distressing that
Blavatsky might have reconsidered some of her earlier
views and changed her mind on certain issues as all
mortls do, and who is unwilling to look at the
evidence that this in fact did take place is looking
for an ifallible guru. Infallible gurus want us to
know that their opinions are immutable. I read
somewhere that some pope once said: "Being infallible
means you have to be damn careful what you say."
Amen. All I am saying is that Blavatsky had the right
to change her mind, and that there is nothing
"adverse" about that. Of course if she did like
Humpty Dumpty and tried to believe several impossible
things before breakfast thatwould be distressing. But
the evidence is, she was a careful and deep thinker,
whether we personally agree with all her positions or
not.

As for Brigitte's use or non-use of quotation marks
and citations, you will have to hash that out with
her.
