Dear John

I fully agree with you, The history about persons is irrelevant
to THEOSOPHY.

This list was to be devoted to discussion of Theosophical tenets,
doctrines, and their reasonableness.

I hope we will end this type of debate.

Simply put the historical events are on paper. They need not be
debated as matters of opinion. The documents end to be read and
that is all.

Best wishes,

Dallas

Greetings All!

I've been subscribed to this list for several months. I had
hoped to be
able to learn more of theosophy by reading the postings. So far,
all I have
seen, is constant argument, discord, and endless scrolling
through the
unnecessary re-quoting of complete messages that are being
responded to.

Is it not possible to create another forum for such things,
and keep
this group to the point, of studying theosophy? The needless size
of the
received postings causes me to have to have either LOT'S of time
to scroll,
read, and then, cut, and save as another file, or to have a HUGE
folder in
my already large e-mail program.

Can we at least all agree to use plain text, to avoid the
size of the
formatting, and html files?

If I respond to a message, I only will put the 're' in the
subject line,
and only include what is absolutely necessary for clarity in the
body.
Otherwise, for instance, I would be including the whole of the
post that I
received today, and everyone, including my self, would have to
scroll to get
the meat of the message.

Thank You!
Respectfully,
with Love, Light, and Laughter,
John
